Often we purchase or are bought jewellery that is very “of its time” trends and styles that echo moments in history from important famous engagement rings to fashion pieces worn by the stars, these styles filter though to jewellery and looking at a 30 year old ring it can feel not so relevant today.
Some pieces stand the test of time, true beauty, elegance and design power alone can sail on, but its all simply personal preference.
Some of my favourite jobs are remodelling and this recently commissioned piece I love, inspired by one of the great fashion houses and the clean lines of the stones themselves we set upon this style to give the wearer something simple, clean and stylish to sit on her elegent finger.
Some of the process involved shown here getting the layout right is much easier to achieve when stones are parted from their metal housings.
