Making Waves

I recently had the pleasure of creating a very special ring.

I had been given a brief that the wearer has a passion for sustainability and a love of the sea, we spoke of her character and their extensive travels together.

It was important I incorporated stones given to his mother in the 1970s by a very interesting character and perhaps adding lab grown or recycled stones and metals.

I set about designing something.

It resonates with me as I always use recycled or fair trade metals and much of what I do is re modelling unworn jewellery bringing pieces into the present day to be worn, loved, treasured and admired.

This however was a new build and it was very important to get a good balance between the stones and the metal, I just kept thinking of her love of the sea and their connection to it so I framed their stones with waves of 18ct white gold, adding recycled old cut diamonds and a lab treated blue pear diamond to sit at the back of the ring, something a bit unique was needed for their piece.

The proposal was to be made whilst at sea, how romantic! 💙 🌊 💙 🌊
