A lovely couple had an engagement ring they bought online, the stones are stunning but alas the casting failed.
This can happen sometimes with a touch of unseen pourosity near the joins a tap in the wrong place and the ring broke in several parts.
We dedided upon a similar design but something to withstand the test of time and also the need in the not so distant future to place a wedding band neatly next to it.
There are several ways to get a wedding band to sit perfectly next to an engagement ring, to show the stones off we chose the under cut method.
I took the component parts and tweaked one side of the engagement ring design.
So the wedding band slides underneath, never a problem with it not fitting, rings moving on the finger with this option and it means both rings can be worn on their own and look great individually.
The engagement ring now complete we finalised a matching wedding band and the gents ring was finished to his specification which was non shiny and non uniform (although it was both shiny and uniform in finish on the inside)
I called this new finish "Rock Face" and yes I did use a rock face to finish it đđđ»
