Remodelled Engagement ring with new Wedding and Eternity rings.

A fantastic project I had the recent pleasure of making.

Tasked with taking a very beautiful Sapphire Diamond and White Gold ring to add a little something to really make a statement.

Firstly I needed to establish if the central stone could be recut as it over a number of years had taken a bit of wear and tear.

The stone cutter confirmed that the stone was glass filled, this is a practice where the stone has its inclusions removed using acid and then it is filled with colbault coloured glass.

A common practice to achieve the desired colour but with wear it fractures as shown in the pictures.

Still it was very sentimental and special so to keep it from further damage as much as possible I mounted this in a pendant to be worn round the neck to keep it safe.

We decided to add tapered Diamond baguettes to a spectacular new Sapphire and flank these as before with a Daimond encrusted double split shank.

We first thought of taking the stones around the Sapphire but then decided to keep it nearer the origional so there would be room on the finger for two further bands!

So making commenced, quite an exacting proceedure needing a little engineering to make it work in several ways, to fit the finger, getting the right curvature and to make the bands sit beautifully next to the engagement ring.

Very pleased with the results, after the London Assay office marked all 3 rings with their Coronation Hallmark it was off to the exeptionally talented Diamond Mounter for the final part the Pavé and Claw setting.

Very pleased with the results and Im happy to report so was the customer 💍!
