So using the melted cutlery I mentioned in my last news update I fashioned a shank for another very special ring.
We looked at multiple and most unusual Salt & Pepper and coloured Diamonds and settled upon this beauty with its mesmerising markings, inclusions and crystal galaxy like structure.
Silver is a wonderful metal but I felt with a sizeable diamond the need to house it in Gold so the White Gold was chosen for the setting and side shoulder detail.
Quick sketches were made and adjusted as we went, the customer very much part of this process to hone the design.
A wonderful piece to make with so much thought gone into it from the stone choice to the final design, as with all handmade jewellery its very personal to the individual comissioning it and this makes it such a special present to recieve.
