Revamping an Engagement Ring

This stunning Cornflower Blue Sapphire flanked with little Diamonds either side, had been worn every day, over the years it had worn away leaving little metal left.

A Diamond had been lost so it was time to rebuild.

I used a casting for the head of the ring choosing white gold to make the stones really stand out and took the origional gold clearing away the Rhodium plating so I could melted it up with more recycled gold to make a shank sturdy enough to wear once more with a wedding and eternity band either side.

A pretty piece, I do love a restoration. 🩵
